What Are The Benefits of CBD and How Can It Help?

To date, there have been numerous studies researching the effects of cannabidiol (CBD) for various conditions and ailments. These studies have had significant impacts on what we know about the benefits that this natural extract can provide. If you’re someone who has been seriously considering adding CBD to your daily routine, but not sure if it will help your specific condition, you’re not alone. We want to help you get the information that you need, and the knowledge that you deserve, to make an educated decision on the use of CBD. So, we’ve done our research and pulled all of the resources together, just for you! A few of the most common benefits that CBD can have include:

AIDING PAIN RELIEF:

One of the most studied and well known benefits of CBD is related to pain relief. Those who are suffering from pain for various reasons can use CBD to alleviate those pains. When CBD comes into contact and reacts with your CB1 and CB2 receptors, both in your brain and your body, it can improve your pain management system (check out our last blog article to learn more about What CBD is and How It Works). And, when CBD interacts with these receptors, they form anti-inflammatory effects that ultimately reduce pain caused by a variety of conditions, such as arthritis and multiple sclerosis.

COMBATING ANXIETY:

There have been several studies that point to the potential benefits that CBD can provide for those who suffer from anxiety. In a human study, that had been published in the Journal of Psychopharmacology, participants were either given an oral dose of 400mg of CBD or a placebo. The results of the study showed that those participants who were given the 400mg of CBD oil had experienced reduced anxiety levels. Another study, that leads to the conclusion that CBD helps ease anxiety, was done on people who were tasked to give a public speech. Each volunteer was given either 300mg of CBD (a dosage this high is much greater than our recommended dosage of 10mg-25mg, which is effective for daily users), 5mg of isapirone, 10mg of diazepam, or a placebo. Their anxiety levels were measured by researchers using the Visual Analog Mood Scale (VAMS), which measures anxiety, physical sensation, mental sedation, and feelings of interest. The measurements were documented at various times: prior to taking the medications, during the speech, and post speech. The results came back conclusive that CBD was an effective way to manage public speaking anxiety without negative side effects, unlike its counterparts. With numerous studies and research that has been done on the benefits of CBD in those who suffer from a variety of anxiety disorders, it’s clear that it is a valid and natural option for those who are looking for some relief.

HELPS IN TREATING DIABETES:

With the developing reputation that CBD has for helping with diseases and disorders, what CBD can do to help those with diabetes is quite impressive. CBD can help stabilize a person’s blood sugar levels. It can reduce pain that is often associated with diabetes caused by nerve inflammation (neuropathy). CBD can also aid in improving circulation by keeping blood vessels open, relieving muscle cramping, and helping to gradually reduce blood pressure; all of which are common side effects for someone who has been diagnosed with diabetes.

OTHER WAYS CBD CAN HELP:

CBD has a wide variety of health benefits that have been reviewed, studied, and documented. Aside from the last three that we have mentioned above, here are some other diseases and disorders that it could have a potential positive impact on:

FINAL WORDS

There is no doubt that CBD has much to offer people who are diagnosed with different diseases and disorders, but it is important to know that most of the studies do not have much long-term data. Most of these studies document short-term treatment and benefits for all of the disorders that we had mentioned above. It’s also important to note that some people may not experience the full benefits, and could potentially have some negative side effects associated with the consumption of CBD such as nausea and drowsiness. CBD has become a part of our daily lives here at Pot and Pan Kitchen, along with many others. If you’re looking for a more natural alternative to treating any of the symptoms that we’ve listed above consult your doctor or physician on the use of this amazing natural remedy.
